Recently, sales of Tesla have collapsed in Europe with halving in January compared to last year.
This at the same time as the CEO and founder Elon Musk became part of President Trump’s administration and actively interfered in European politics and expressed their support for the party alternative for Germany (AfD).

Ratar the company
Musk’s actions have caused resistance to emerging, where it has been reported on how consumers are now rating the company for political reasons.
The trend is also beginning to be noticed among Swedish companies where Tesla used to be a hot alternative when it comes to corporate leasing.
– Yes, it is noticeable. It has been decided not to buy certain car brands for various reasons, one of the major reasons is political and negative reviews and you do not want to be associated with as a company, says Ronny Svensson, CEO of the consulting company Ynnor specializing in the service car sector.
In a report that the company published recently, this particular development is highlighted and according to Ronny Svensson, it is especially evident in larger companies.
– You are very restrained with Tesla right now, you say no thanks. However, there are many reasons for this and besides Elon Musk’s statements, the second -hand value is that it will not hold, he says.
According to Ronny Svensson, a large proportion of Tesla cars are expected to come out in the secondary market, about 9,000 next year and another 20,000 the following year. This, linked to challenges around re -inspections at Teslabils, contributes to the doubts.
– It is simply that you have quality problems with, among other things, brakes, the undercarriage and rust, then you lose the safety of the car, according to Ronny Svensson.

Commercial grounds
One of the companies that has now chosen to stop offering just Tesla is the construction giant Skanska. The company’s press manager Jacob Birkeland points out that this is not a political position in Skanska’s case but on purely commercial grounds.
– Those who sit with our vehicle fleet make constant evaluations. We have not found the commercial weighting that we are looking for so we have a stop for Tesla as a service car, he tells TT.
In Sweden, Tesla has also been involved in a trade union battle with IF Metall around the union’s requirement to sign collective agreements. That aspect, however, does not matter now is Ronny Svensson’s assessment:
– The trade union struggles have run over and did not last long. Here you instead have the political plays and second -hand value, it is a comprehensive part that determines, says Ronny Svensson.
