However, after the meeting, Starmer said he had discussed the previous night with Trump. The Prime Minister said he would not drive this if he did not believe it could have the potential of success.
4. Europe intends to strengthen its defense big and fast
In the longer term, Europe is forced to start building a credible defense that is not dependent on US support.
After the meeting, Ursula von der Leyen, chairman of the EU Commission, said that Europe would need a new massive investment in defense.
