Jonna Sundling went emotional carousel during Sunday’s skiathlon and left the interview zone in tears.
– I needed some time for myself.
The 30-year-old Jonna Sundling Took the World Cup bronze-her first individual championship medal in a distance race-after a sprint battle against the national teammate Frida Karlsson And Norwegian Heidi Weng.
Still, Jonna Sundling could not be undivided.
– I am very happy with my first medal in a distance race, and I am very happy for Ebba’s sake, says Sundling.
– But I also have other feelings. I am very sorry for Heidi’s sake, because she fell over me.

Norwegian anger
Sundling had acquired perfect stroke in the race when everything happened. Just before the last lap, she lost the bracket in a curve and fell. She brought with her Norwegian Weng and the duo got to see Ebba Andersson and Therese Johaug Sailing away against a fight for gold (which Andersson won).

Weng, fifth in the end, screamed out his anger at the finish – seemingly in the direction of Sundling. But the Norwegian says that she does not have any anger against the Swedish.
– No, I was most pissed off at myself. I just wished that the human brain could have worked so that it had made me skip her, says Weng.
Sundling’s words
Sundling and Weng talked out after the race. Once in the so -called mixed zone, however, Sundling managed only a couple of interviews before leaving the place.
– I just needed some space and time for myself to breathe. There are a lot of emotion now, mixed emotions, says Sundling with glossy eyes.
– I really didn’t want to be in the way of her and I didn’t want anything bad. It is probably that such things happen, but it is crap when it happens yourself.
