Starmer and Meloni met before the summit

Before the meeting at Lancaster House, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni and the Great Britain Keir Starmer met at 10 Downing Street.

There they should have agreed on “the importance of a transatlantic alliance when it comes to confronting shared challenges” and that the relationship between the two countries is more important than ever.

The meeting is described as “warm and constructive”, writes Sky News.
