Just over a year ago, Johansson encountered 19.30 at a competition at home in Lincoln, Nebraska. In the night’s competition “Big 10 Indoor Championships” in Indianapolis, Johansson had not been over 19 meters when she was cheered by the audience before her sixth and last shock.
She felt it was a hit and made a victory gesture and was hugged by her coach and a “Thank you” was heard. Afterwards, she posed with a gold medal that was distributed.
Johansson is sixth in the world with his shock. She will not be present at the indoor European Championships in the Dutch Apeldoorn next weekend. The squad for the indoor World Cup in Nanjing, China, in three weeks will be taken out March 12.
Just behind on the Swedish best list of all time indoors is Fanny Roos at 19.29.
Johansson’s Swedish outdoor record is 19.54 from 2023.
