2,800 pigs have been killed in Norway after a feed scandal, says the Nortura agricultural cooperative. It is about six pig breeders who have received feed with too high levels of vitamin D.
Earlier in February, it was stated that 700 pigs have been killed as a result of health problems caused by vitamin D poisoning.
Nortura has no figures on how much pork has been lost but based on the scope described, it may be up to 100,000 kilos, reports the newspaper Nation.
