The verbal grip led to the premature departure of the Ukrainian President of the White House, without signing the mineral agreement for which he had made the trip to Washington. During their meeting, the tension was incredible. For long minutes, Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelensky and the US vice-president JD Vance raised his voice and cut themselves off several times.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky multiplies this Saturday, thanks messages to his European supports after the lively altercation having opposed him to the White House to his American counterpart Donald Trump.
The Volodymyr Zelensky account account has more than thirty sentences “thank you for your support”, in response to the support messages of European leaders, including that of the French president Emmanuel Macron. Despite the altercation in Washington, Volodymyr Zelensky also thanked the United States for “their support” and “this visit”, as well as President Donald Trump, the Congress and the American people.
“Ukraine needs a fair and lasting peace and we work exactly,” said Volodymyr Zelensky on X. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also multiplied the messages “thank you”, in response to the support displayed by the ministries of European countries in Ukraine.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday after the altercation with President Donald Trump at the White House.
The Ukrainian leader should “apologize for wasting our time for a meeting that was going to end in this way,” said American diplomacy in an interview with the CNN channel.

Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that his relationship with Donald Trump could “of course” be repaired, after a tense exchange between the two leaders caused the departure of the Ukrainian president of the White House, without signing of the agreement with Washington on minerals.
“Yes of course, because these are relations that go beyond two presidents, they are strong, strong relationships between our two peoples,” replied the Ukrainian president to the question of the journalist of Fox News Bret Bare, declaring shortly before he would like the American president to be “really more on our side”, compared to Russia and Vladimir Putin, in negotiations to put an end to the conflict. The Ukrainian president however estimated on Friday not to apologize to his American counterpart.
