Times and dates for the fasting month in Sweden

Ramadan, the month -long fasting period in Islam, is approaching. This means that Muslims around the world will refrain from, for example, food and drink during the time between dawn to sunset every day during this period.

When is Ramadan 2025 in Sweden? Date

According to Swedish Radio and UNHCR, Ramadan will start on Friday evening on February 28. However, the date for the start of Ramadan can vary depending on where you are and how the moon is interpreted.

In some places, for example at the Islamic Federation Stockholm’s mosque, it is therefore said that Ramadan 2025 in Sweden will only start on Saturday, March 1.
