The reason for the name change is a new agreement with a new principal and title sponsor, Al Shira’aa Stables. Behind the sponsor stands HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyanwhich is part of Abu Dhabi’s royal family.

Critics are raging toward the new name

Despite his comments, the criticism hails.

“The worst thing you have heard,” writes a critic on News24’s Facebook.

In other words, the name change has not been completely frictionless.

When TMAC stables, which had a booth during the annual horse week for 20 years, found out about the change, they chose to jump off altogether.

– I think Falsterbo sells his soul when you depart from the traditional. Falsterbo Horse Show is a concept in the horse world that one should be very afraid of. It’s like Ikea would change its name to something Russian, says the owner Thomas Magnussonto Sydsvenskan, according to TT.
