In conjunction with Thursday’s meeting of the regional board, an overall opposition demanded that the decision be paused – with a requirement for a re -referral.
The opposition – the Left Party, the Christian Democrats, the Swedish Democrats and the Healthcare Party – believes that the investigation is substandard and insufficient for decisions. If there is a re -referral is decided by the regional council.
The requirement goes through if one third of the council backs it up.
Night opening urgently with medical expertise
But if the ruling gets what they want – what will remain in Sollefteå?
A night open with the day and night of the doctor’s competence, X -ray and lab. And an orthopedic reception.
There should also be specialist clinics for the treatment of heart kidney, and gastrointestinal diseases as well as treatments of neurological problems such as epilepsy, Parkinson or Alzheimer’s.
As well as the hospital’s new focus – the care of older multi -illness.
146 services disappear from the hospital, while Sundsvall and Ö-vik receive a supplement of just over a hundred services.
Sollefteå most ineffective
The purpose of dismantling the hospital is that the region wants to remove the large deficits, reduce costs and push over funds to primary care. Resources are split when care is conducted in three hospitals, the region believes. Shell effects and synergies are missed and it becomes costly ineffective.
Sollefteå is identified as the most ineffective hospital with the highest proportion of rental staff in Västernorrland. The population structure also speaks to Sollefteå, according to the region. The number of elderly people is increasing at the same time as Ådalen has lost the most residents in the county in the last 50 years.
In the short term, the savings will be 46 million through the renovation in Sollefteå, according to the investigation that underlies the proposal. However, the savings the measures give in the long term, however, there are no concrete figures yet.
