Famous village in the valley of the same name, Chamonix is also one of the most famous ski resorts in France. Near the sea of ice, the highest Alpes Glacier, Chamonix developed from the beginning of the 18th century, when two young English nobles recounted their discovery of the priory of “Chamouni”. The first Olympic Games were organized in 1924 in this small village in the Alps.
