Two bodies were found in a wasteland in Charleville-Mézières this Wednesday, February 26. The remains are those of a woman and a “young age” child indicated the public prosecutor, Magali Josse. They were discovered by squatters on the site of the former Gaz of France in the city of the Ardennes according to The Ardennes. The place has been abandoned for many years according to the newspaper details.
The track of a criminal act is privileged evidenced by the opening of an investigation for “voluntary homicide” and “voluntary homicide on a minor under 15” announced by the Charleville-Mézières prosecutor’s office this Thursday, February 27. The investigations were entrusted to the interdepartmental service of the Reims judicial police and the Charleville-Mézières police station.
The bodies of the two victims were released from a bush by the technical and scientific police to be examined by a medical examiner. The autopsy will try to determine the causes and the date of death. The public prosecutor did not wish to give more information on the facts “in order to preserve the effectiveness of the criminal investigation”.
