Linn Svahn’s bad luck with championship continues.
This year’s World Cup is over before it has even started.
The ski star fell during exercise and got a concussion.
After repeated checks have Linn Svahn Together with the Medical Team decided not to compete in today’s sprint and interrupts continued competitors during the ski World Cup in Trondheim.
– A new case could have had purely fatal consequences if she competed on, says national team doctor Rickard Noberius on a press conference.
“It was during Wednesday’s pre -pass that Linn fell unfortunately in a downhill and hit his head. She was examined by our medical team directly in place, and ended the training, ”the national team doctor said in a statement from the ski national team.

“We conducted repeated investigations during the day and evening and makes the assessment that she has been given a concussion, and that her symptoms are so serious that she cannot compete during the championship, but needs brain rest and recovery.”
Svahn leaves the World Cup
Linn Svahn also fell before the ski World Cup in Oberstdorf 2021 and damaged the shoulder. She went to the World Cup, but there she just ran the sprint and became eleven. The shoulder injury turned out to be serious and kept her away from competitors all season 2021-22 and she missed the Olympics.

Prior to this year’s World Cup in Trondheim, she was very optimistic.
“This is the first time I have been in a press conference (before a World Cup) and have the feeling that I had two weeks with flawless preparations,” she said at a press conference on Tuesday.
– In the last few weeks I have always had something to handle before. This is the first time I have a positive form curve for a championship. So I have a good feeling.
