Thousands of signatures against the movie “Spermageddon” – as a child may see

The animated film is about two awkward young people who have sex for the first time. At the same time, you have to follow the sperm Simen’s fate: to reach the egg.

The film has an age limit of eleven years, or seven years in the company of an adult. But the content is too rough for children of that age, says critics who refer to quotes from the movie as “I’ll fuck you until you crack”, which is said when the young people look for the right kind of sex talk.

3,000 signatures

A name gathering started by Sofia Singemo, school curator and former deacon, has received over 3,000 signatures.

“This is under all criticism !!! And is nothing to push up in the children’s face! Are you pedophiles?! High -level grooming! ”Writes one of the signers.

Singemo wants to see a broader debate about sexualization in society and calls for an increased age limit on the film.

– Sexualization creeps down the ages and the boundaries are becoming increasingly fuzzy and I think I as an adult and as a mother have a responsibility to react, she says.

So is determined to movies’ age limit

It is the media authority that is commissioned to set age limits on film. Film reviewer Francisca Benavente explains:

– What we assess is not whether a movie is good or suitable for children to watch. What we believe is whether it may be harm to the well -being, that a child should not feel uncomfortable, be afraid, or cause, for example, nightmares, says Benavente.

The Film City, which shows the film, has chosen to add a warning sign that reads “Note, this is not a children’s movie.”

The production company SF Studios writes in a text message to SVT that the film’s age limit does not reflect the target group.

“The 11-year limit does not mean that it is the film’s intended target group. Something we have again been very clear about when we wrote that it is not a children’s movie. There are several films with a similar age limit whose target group is adults, ”writes SF Studio’s communicator Jesper Larsson.

Little News asked the question of the low age limit to the children, see the answers in the clip below.
