In Diablo 4 you reach the maximum character level with level 60, then the grind for paragon levels begins. You can collect a total of 300 paragon points for your Paragon tablets to further improve your character. However, the grind is extremely time -consuming – and the reward is limited, many players think.
In a contribution to Reddit, Mr_juicer reports from his grind to paragon level 300 in Season 7, which has been running since January 21, 2025. In the past season, he made it up to level 240, now he wanted to have the certainty to do it at least once. Especially from level 270 it became very boring because he has repeatedly done the same activities.
How did the player reach the highest level? He primarily spent time in the hordes of hell. He advises to listen to music or to be sprinkled otherwise, that makes the grind easier. He also used the group finder in Diablo 4 to make a number of hell-hordes without having to consume many seals.
He could have leveled up faster in the pit, but his blood wave necro was simply too slow for the high mines. “”[Höllenhorden] Perhaps comparatively slower, but it was easier to have a gameplay loop that didn’t burn me out, ”he explains.
When asked how long the level took overall, he writes that there is over 300 hours in his Necro alone. The pure XP grind cost him about 180+ hours. He spent a lot of time to find a group in the first place. “The places were always gone quickly,” he notes.

“There is really no reason to do it”
Why is the effort hardly worthwhile? The creator of the contribution explains that he will probably never do it again – alone for his “mental health”. You only have to collect 1 billion XP for level 300 alone.
He finds the rewards for this. Specifically, he writes:
A mount trophy and a mount are really a little poor when you consider how much work it is. […]
Why isn’t there at least exclusive cosmetics or a chest with a guaranteed mythical unique of your choice so that you have a tangible memory of the performance? Just an idea.
A permanent UI change for Paragon level 300 would also be really cool. B. a golden frame around the character or something! Instead of just “level 300: 0/0 experience”.
The community says that: In the comments, users discuss the long grind. Shothothug says: “There is no real incentive besides pride of having made it. The mount is a joke, so something like a special frame, a unique cosmetic item or a PET would definitely be worthwhile. “

In the comments, Mr_juicer points out that the 300 paragon levels can also be collected on the eternal realm, since the Achievement and the Cosmetics are activated anyway. So you have no time pressure, but you also do not benefit from seasonal XP buffs or the like.
In order to level 300 in Diablo 4 up to paragon level, it makes sense to play a build that can be used to get through the activities briskly.
