She was found dead in an apartment in Manhattan in New York on Wednesday, reports ABC News With reference to police sources.
Michelle Trachtenberg, who recently underwent a liver transplant, is believed to have died of natural causes and the police suspect no crime. An autopsy will be made to determine the cause of death.
Trachtenberg grew up in New York and was noticed early as a child star in Nickelodeon productions such as “The Adventure of Pete and Pete” and “Harriet-the cunning little spy”.
The breakthrough came in the role of Dawn Summers in “Buffy”. She joined in 2000 and played for three seasons little sister to Sarah Michelle Gellars Buffy.
A few years later, she celebrated new successes such as Georgina Sparks in “Gossip Girl”, where she played against Blake Lively and Leighton Meester between 2008 and 2012. She played in the new start of the series 2021.
