The investment in the new e-commerce service has not produced the results that ICA had hoped for. Instead, ICA will invest in the physical stores in the first place.
In connection with the launch of the e-commerce service for pet products, the Gaston stores were also inaugurated, which offers a wide range for both dog and cat.
– With Gaston, we explore the opportunity to broaden the ICA Group’s overall offer and further facilitate the everyday puzzle for this customer group, said Nina JönssonCEO of the ICA Group in one Press release.

In the future, ICA plans to open even more Gaston stores, as the interest in the chain is great. Today there are the Gaston stores at Ica Maxi Stenhagen in Uppsala and at Ica Maxi at Erikslund in Västerås.
At present, it is not established where or how many stores are planned, nor when they open in that case.
