The first phase of the ceasefire is expected to end on Saturday, but the second phase negotiations have not yet begun.
Middle Eastern Ambassador of the US Steve Witkoff says that Israeli representatives are on their way to negotiate with the extremist organization Hamas on the second part of Gaza’s ceasefire.
Witkoff announced this at the American Jewish Committee event. According to Witkoff, negotiations are taken in either Qatar or Egypt.
The first part of the ceasefire is to end on Saturday, but the second part negotiations have not yet begun. Originally, they were due to begin in early February.
Hamas has previously announced that he is ready to release all hostages at the second phase of the ceasefire at one time.
