Israel and the extremist Hamas have agreed on the release of about 600 Palestinian prisoners, says Egyptian state media. Israel was to release the prisoners last Saturday.
The prisoners are released in exchange for Hamas handed over the bodies of four Israeli hostages.
Hamas has accused Israel for endangering the ceasefire when it did not release prisoners as agreed.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nethanjahu Said on Sunday that Israel would postpone the release of prisoners until Hamas stops the ceremonies arranged in the context of handing the hostage.
