Summer house fans disappointed: the normalos are not normal enough
The stars’ summer house is a tear test even for experienced reality professionals. Hardly any of the couples survive the pressure on the show without separating. It is not for nothing that fans speak of the “summer house curse” (read here which summer house winners are still together). When RTL announced that there will be a normal relay, many fans were curious: What could the show look like if the cast does not consist of cold-blooded reality stars, who add up to every drama on the hunt for the broadcast time? Many hoped for more action, more emotions and less soap opera.
Unfortunately, in episode 1, disillusionment was set up: because the supposed “normalos” turned out to be wannabe reality stars who hope for their big breakthrough in reality TV on the show. From the first second, artificial excitement, embarrassing blasphemy and broadcasting drama dominate the show. That disturbs the fans on Instagram enormously:

Many fans had hoped that normalos on the show were less brushed on riot, but this hope was suffocated directly in the germ. Already in the first episode it became apparent that some of the couples are only on the show to become famous by drama. From second 1 there was bitch war, hostility and blasphemy, which is strongly reminiscent of the conventional summer house. This conclusion on Instagram sums up the criticism:
I see no difference to the star edition. I was looking forward to normalos, but I’ve not seen it yet. It is blasphemed from the start and plans are forged like by the well-known reality TV people.
The focus on drama ensures that the cast does not look sympathetic:
It remains to be seen whether the summer house will still scratch the curve. Currently, the show still looks like a makeshift copy of the original – without delivering the promised authenticity of the normalos.
