Because that is the problem: find successors for Marianne and Lenie. Since 2018, the couple have been running the Thomashuis and also living in the same house as the nine people with a need for care, such as with autism or Down’s syndrome. From the hall you have two sides: Living on the left most residents, on the right is the private part of Marianne and Lenie. Or well, private? “We don’t have that much private time,” laughs Lenie. “We live together, so you always take care of them.” Marianne adds: “But you get so much in return. The love we have for our profession is double from these sweethearts.”
