Nine soldiers died on Sunday, when a military vehicle crashed into the gorge in southwestern columbling, authorities reported on Monday. In addition, 20 soldiers were injured in Turma.
The military vehicle had 36 people, while the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the brake failure. As a result, the vehicle fell to a gorge about a hundred meters deep.
The troops were on their way to Nariño, located on the Ecuador border on the Pacific coast.
