More and more customers are avoiding shopping for American goods. At least in Denmark.
In our neighboring country, the Facebook group “Boykot Vare from the United States” has received several thousand members and the Swedish counterpart “boycott goods from the United States” has over a thousand members.

Customers in Denmark and Sweden boycott goods from the USA
In the groups, members seek advice from each other on, among other things, which US goods can be replaced by other non-American.
The Swedish Facebook group writes on its site that it “was born out of the frustration we, and many with us, feel that since January 20, 2025, the world has become a much more uncertain and unpredictable place”. The date they are referring to is the same date as when US current president Donald Trump began his second term of office.

A Danish grocery owner testifies to, among other things, an upset customer who has stormed into the store and questioned why she was still selling US goods.
– The reactions have come very quickly. Donald Trump has only been president for a month, says the grocery owner Mette Heerulff Christiansento the Danish channel TV2.
Store owner Christiansen had not been thinking about boycotting American goods before she was noticed on her customers’ new behavior.
According to TV2, she is now thinking of reducing US goods, while there are some goods she does not want to order back to the store.
