US Grammy-Award-winning singer and pianist Roberta Flack has died at the age of 88.
Flack was known as “Killing Me Softly” and “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”, both of which were awarded with Grammy Awards.
Before the age of 30, Flack, quite unknown, suddenly became fame in 1972, when the actress director Clint Eastwood Used Flack’s song “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” in his movie Night Nightmare.
Flack maintained his influential position in the music world long after the 1970s.
In 2022, Flack said he was suffering from ALS, after which he was no longer able to sing.
Flack spokesman Elaine Schockin According to Monday, the singer died at home surrounded by his family.
