Joël Le Scouarnec, a former 74-year-old surgeon, appears from Monday, February 24 before the Morbihan Criminal Court (north-west of France) for rapes and sexual assault on 300 children. The facts, which spread from 1989 to 2014, were said to have been committed in hospitals in which he practiced. His trial must last four months. It faces up to twenty years of criminal imprisonment.
