It takes about six weeks to produce all history and all pictures presented in a section of “It sits in the walls,” says Leif Mörkfors.
He has been involved in doing all 11 seasons of the program.
– We are many who help and there is a lot of experience behind it, he says.
So do you become house researchers
But that does not mean that the inexperienced cannot try himself. In the video he lists six places to look for, where the homeowner can find history about his own house.
Expanding what it says can be more difficult.
– There are many kind people in genealogy groups who can help with individual words, he says.
Genealogy good place to start
But if you want to teach yourself, for real, he thinks that the best way to start is to attend a genealogy course.
– Even if you “just” want to research a house, you can learn very well about where you find information and how to read it, on such a course. Then just practice.
He says he has been genealogy since he was thirteen years old.
– Today I can interpret most things. But there are some cases where the priest has been full or foamy, perhaps spilled ink over the entire paper, where it is completely impossible.
