Xavius, the first satyr
Elune … there is only one god … and his name is Sargeras.
Title: The nightmare prince | First of the satyrs | Lord of the satyr
Even though Xavius is primarily known as the final boss in the raid “emerald green nightmare”, its story begins much earlier.
10,000 years ago, at the time of the war of the ancestors, Xavius was the most powerful known magician on Azeroth and direct consultant by Queen Azshara (since Azshara largely veiled her magical skill in front of the people). All magicians of the time had to measure themselves against Xavius.
Xavius’ interest in magic was so great that the burning legion became aware of Azeroth. When Xavius learned from Sargeras, he immediately accepted it as a god and entered his service.
But Xavius failed, was conquered and his soul was tortured by Sargeras at the punishment. However, the fallen titanium still had a task for the former night elves: he turned it into the first satyr and sent him back to life. From there, Xavius began to recruit more and more high -borns and to make them the “gift” of the devil magic – and also to transform them into satyrs.
Xavius was conquered several times by Malfurion and his last appearance as a “nightmare prince”, who wanted to spoil the emerald green dream, was ultimately ended by Malfurion and the heroes of Azeroth.
Xavius is considered the forefather of all satyr who still live on Azeroth today. Even if Xavius has now been completely conquered, it is responsible for many of the events that Azeroth affected in the past millennia.
