A full train from Gothenburg to Stockholm stood still outside Laxå on Sunday.
The reason was that the locomotive driver passed a red light and was not allowed to go on.
“Everything in the kiosk ended,” says passenger Rickard Stahl.
A fast train on the way from Gothenburg to Stockholm has been outside Laxå for just over two hours on Sunday.
The reason is that the locomotive driver has driven past a stop signal and then not had to drive on.
– We stood still for a while and finally the locomotive driver called out in the speaker that he had passed a red light and that he could therefore not drive on, says Rickard Stahl, who is on his way home to Stockholm.
After just over two hours of waiting, a new locomotive driver showed up.
– There were a lot of people on the train. It became the world’s queue for the kiosk and everything ended, says Rickard Stahl.
At 14.30, the train is said to be rolling again.

VR: “To be investigated”
Erik Wennerholm, CEO of VR snab trains confirms the train stop.
– It is a signal that has been passed by a few meters. Then it will be a stop and you have to change locomotives, he says.
Erik Wennerholm explains that the handling of the incident has gone according to routine and that they will now investigate what has happened.
– We must investigate whether it is the human factor or something else that caused you to pass the signal, he says.
– What is positive is that the routines that apply to the security work have been followed. Safety is the most important thing on a train, says Erik Wennerholm.
