In many ways, Penny has positively influenced the boys in the Big Bang Theory. She was a big sister for Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and a loving partner for Leonard (Johnny Galecki). For Howard and Raj, too, she was a good friend who was at your side with advice and action.
Before Kaley Cuoco took on this role, Amanda Walsh has one very different version the young woman in Sheldons and Leonard’s life – who was much more common to the two.
The original “Penny” used the TBBT boys
Before a series goes into production, a pilot is often shot first to test the concept. The Big Bang Theory also had such an episode that was only shown to a test audience. In this Amanda Walsh took on the role of Katie was not well received by the audience. Katie was later replaced by Penny.
In the broadcast version of the series, Penny moves in to Leonard and Sheldon, works as a waitress and has the dream of becoming actress. In the original version, the guys katie met on the side of the road, completely on the ground because of the separation from their friend (via screen rant). Since she has no residence she smuggles into the nerdsto live with rent -free, get a mistake and complain about your life.
Even if Penny had also ended a relationship shortly before the start of series production, she stood At least on your own feet. In addition, she was there for her neighbors right from the start, even if there were moments in one or the other episode when she used the fact that the boys fell into them (for example, in season 2 episode 19).
Kaley Cuocos Penny became much more complex in the Big Bang Theory
Katie, on the other hand, showed no signs of taking care of her new roommates as they did. Rather, she took advantage of it and became one Kind of antagonist. Where Penny made a joke from time to time at the expense of the nerds, she remained warm and friendly on the whole, while Katie was simply common to them.
Of course, it is not clear whether Katie would have changed in the course of the series. Thanks to Kaley and her representation of Penny, however, we got a figure that not only developed itself in the course of the series, but was also often the catalyst for the further development of the other characters.
