Biathlon: New Swedish World Cup medal-bronze in the women’s relay

After two silver, Sweden now also has a bronze in Lenzerheide.

– This medal means a little special I think. It has been a bit strange and it feels so damn nice that we manage to take it, says Anna Magnusson.

It was she who started for Sweden and switched as third. Then Ella Halvarsson took over and Sweden slipped down to a ninth place at the change.

– You have to struggle for these medals. What distances everyone has done! I’m so damn impressed, Halvarsson tells SVT Sport.

Hanna Öberg then drove Sweden to a third place and switched to sister Elvira. On her first shooting, it swayed a lot and she was forced into a criminal round.

– It was a tough relay. It is a shame that I bark so there in lying, says Elvira Öberg.

It then became a struggle for the bronze where Öberg was the strongest. Sweden’s third medal in this year’s biathlon World Cup.

– I am incredibly pleased that I solve it in stands late. Given that I do not feel like my absolute most attractive and strongest, says Elvira.

Hanna Öberg is celebrated

After the race, Hanna Öberg was particularly praised by SVT Sports expert Björn Ferry.

-It is the championship Hanna who is back. When it was required, she picked up the best she had for the day, he says.

For Hanna Öberg, who had tears in her eyes, the medal meant a lot.

– I just finally feel! For me, there are super feeling emotions. I am very happy and of course also relieved, she says.

France won the competition in superior style and Norway finished second.
