Mona Brorsson’s new life as a TV expert in SVT’s Winter Studio

When she was little, she would never be able to live in Stockholm.
Now ex-skirting Mona Brorsson has moved there with her partner, because both have got a good job in the capital.
– There is a small part that is a bit scary and difficult as well. Because you start a whole new life, she tells the Sports Bible.

After last season chose Mona Brorsson34, to “retire” as an active elite athlete. The Warmland had then done twelve seasons in the World Cup and also taken two Olympic medals and a World Cup medal. A few months after she left it was clear that she would become a new biathlon expert in SVT’s winter studio.

Mona’s new life after the sports career

Mona Brorsson will soon be finished with her debut season as a TV expert. Right now, the biathlon World Cup is underway in the Swiss Lenzerheide-then only three World Cup weekends remain before the season is over. She has received a lot of praise and tributes from all sorts and really is happy with the new existence as a “professional”.
– It is very luxurious to still be able to stay in the biathlon so that the job is to keep track of the biathlon world. That’s exactly what you want, she tells the Sports Bible.

Her everyday life looks very different now since the move to Frösunda, Solna, compared to how it was as a biathlon.
– No, but it’s pretty different so to speak. I have a lot of time, a lot of free time to be able to control my own day. New resident in Stockholm. I moved here with my partner from Östersund last fall, so far it is just about getting order in our new apartment. There is still a lot to be unpacked and things that will find the right place and furniture to be ordered and put together. It’s a lot of fun, she says and continues:

– It takes time, but it’s also pretty fun. After all, we moved with the feeling in Östersund that we were ready for something new. And this is exactly what makes us build something from the beginning. Feel forward. And not just the apartment, but all life in some way. We have really turned upside down.

How does she think it is to live in Stockholm then? Yes, like many others who come to the capital from smaller towns or cities, she thinks it is a mixture of scary and fun.
– These are absolutely mixed feelings, just as it should be. The predominant is like super positive and exciting. But it is also a small part that is a bit scary and difficult as well. Because, as I said, you start a whole new life. In Östersund you knew exactly how everything works and you had their security and had done the same thing all life. Now you start as if again. But it should be a little scary for it to be really good too.

– I was born and raised in the country in Värmland before I moved to Östersund. Thought it was big in Östersund when I moved there and when I was little I could never have imagined living in Stockholm. It’s just so much fun how everything gets. It’s like things fall into place and I think: “Yes, I test and so you get to see what it becomes of it”. Then you cannot say that you have not tried in the future without giving everything a chance, says Mona.

Monas Sambo Gustav has got a new job

It is clear that it makes it easier for Brorsson to live in Stockholm as she is now working there, but it really is not a must. Several of her SVT colleagues live in another place. However, her partner needs Gustav Larsson31, (former walker in the biathlon team) live near his new workplace.
– I would say that the move is perhaps mostly his merit. His job demands a little more that he is in place. Helena Ekholm had my current service before and commuted on the weekends, just like Björn Ferry Also still do today. But I see it as a bonus for me that it suited us both to make this big change. So it is really the merit of both boats that we ended up here.

What does your partner Gustav work with?
– He worked at Elgiganten in Östersund. But have had to step up a notch. So now he works at the head office at Elgiganten here in Stockholm.

So fun that you sit in the Winter Studio and offer interesting and fun anecdotes and wise analyzes and advice. We love to see you as a TV expert, Mona!
