Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyj is not crucial to the talks about an end to the war in Ukraine. That’s what Donald Trump tells Fox Radio.
“I don’t think it’s most important that he is in the meetings,” says US president and continues:
– He has been there for three years. It is difficult to get an agreement with him (present).
It is different with Russia President, according to Trump, who dismisses other world leaders’ warnings that Vladimir Putin does not want to see an end to the war.
– He doesn’t have to get an agreement. Because if he just wanted to, he could take the whole country (Ukraine, says Trump.
To a group of Republican governors, Trump said later:
– I’ve had good conversations with Putin, and not so good with Ukraine. They have no cards left to play out, but they hold hard in the cards. But we will not let this continue.
