But both Jonna Sundling and Frida Karlsson have been shocked.
Because of which they met in the ski tracks during the training camp in Italy.
The Swedish ski team is currently at high altitude camps in Italian Lavazé to prepare for the ski World Cup 2025 in Trondheim. But they are not right there alone …
Sundling’s shock
Last week, the reports came that Russian riders have made it to Italy in the greatest secret. The reason is to train on next year’s Olympic courses in Val di Fiemme and get important high altitude training in Lavazé.
– There was a concern, because it received attention in the press, but it was impossible to predict the reactions. Thankfully, there have been no problems, says the coach Yego Sorin on its telegram channel.

Karlsson’s words
Sundling was very surprised when she supports the Russian rider in the ski tracks. But she doesn’t want to reveal exactly who it was.
– It surprises me. It’s been a long time since you saw a Russian rider. It was a girl, but it’s not something I want to go into, she tells the evening newspaper.

Norwegian newspaper VG reports that the big star Alexander Bolsjunov And the trio Savelij KorosteljevThe Darja Neprajeva and Sergei Volkov Has trained in Italy.
– I have seen some Russian costumes up here, but not as many as I recognize, says Frida Karlsson in a statement.

None of the three Swedish riders see any reason why Russian skiers should return to competitions again.
