Season 2 of “Brief” is a real critical success on Disney+. Is internet users conquered, but is a suite planned? The main actor and creator with Navo responded.
At the time of short formats of Canal++, the series Short imposed itself as a monument. The fiction of Kyan Khojandi and Bruno Muschio, broadcast in 2011 and 2012, had marked the spirits by his impactful style, short (barely two minutes), and his assumed narrative identity which depicted the pangs of a generation, his existential dilemmas and the absurdity of his daily life.
Fourteen years later, Short sign an unexpected return. With a turnaround: the hero (Kyan Khojandi still) is 40 years old, a family, sentimental and professional life that has always remained so chaotic. But he finally begins the results of his life … and his questioning. The series has completely appealed to Internet users, so much so that many hope to find the hero and his friends for a season 3.
“There is no obligation with Disney to do a season 3,” said Navo (Bruno Muschio), co-creator of the series, at the microphone of Télé-Loisirs. “On our side, we consider that season 2 is very good in itself and that it can also be an end. And conversely, we are also free to do a season 3 tomorrow or in ten years “. The plans therefore remain nebulous, and it is not Kyan Khojandi who confirms a sequel: “If we ever come back … And I say” if ever “, it is that we will have enough ideas. […] My message is very simple and very clear: if we have a good story, we will tell it. “Navo has confirmed that they were” not yet “the question, but that” the door is open for all possibilities. “Fans will still have to be patient, hoping that it is not yet necessary to wait 14 years.
Change of format in short.2
The main change that this season 2 of Shortin addition to the moral evolution of his character, remains his format: goodbye the 80 episodes of barely 2 minutes. Make way for only six episodes, but lasting thirty to forty minutes each. What to give the protagonists time to evolve, to think, to mature, without however completely abandoning the narrative and visual creativity of the series.
“We had more things to tell, we arrived with ten years of ideas, reflections, desires,” explains Kyan Khojandi on February 13, 2025 on France Inter. These longer episodes thus allowed creators to “develop dialogues and dig into the characters”. Another evolution, and not the least: the series is no longer broadcast on Canal+. There is now a subscription to the streaming Disney+ to discover this new salve of episodes, as well as the first!
