Amsterdam Rhine Canal free for shipping after incident with high voltage cables

The shipping traffic on the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal resumed just before 4 p.m., Rijkswaterstaat reports. Since Monday morning, part of the canal near Diemen was blocked because there were high -voltage cables in the water. That was because a ship with a too high crane had sailed against the cables.
