The request for assistance came to the County Administrative Board in Örebro, which in turn turned to nearby counties, including Värmland. Lars-Johan Sahlin, service person in readiness, has coordinated contact with various administrations to find suitable staff.
-In the first place, the municipalities in the Karlstad region and Arvika municipality were asked about resource aid, says Lars-Johan Sahlin.
Curators and crisis support
Among the selected are curators, socionomas, psychologists and crisis support from the social administration, the health and care administration, contact center and upper secondary administration.
The support means that five people per day from Värmland assist in Örebro during the week. The goal is to relieve the regular staff and ensure that crisis support works effectively.
– Although the effort is planned to end on Sunday, there is a preparedness to extend the support if the situation requires it, says Malin Vainiokangas, administrator at the County Administrative Board in Värmland.
