One day bed -bound with stomach ailments – the other day SEK 42 million richer. Ludvig Åberg took his second PGA TOUR TIT after a super turn in San Diego.
– It feels like it was a lifetime since I last won, he says.
The Swedish 25-year-old was third before Sunday’s fourth round. Ludvig Åberg Then stood for eight birdies and only two bogeys, which resulted in a round of –6.
Åberg’s success
In total, Åberg ended at 12 strokes under par and thus took home the win against some of the world’s best players. He secured the victory with just over two meters long birdie putt on the 18th hole.
– It feels very good, he says at a press conference after the competition at Torrey Pines.
-It’s hard to win on the PGA Tour, it has some of the world’s best players. It feels reassuring that I can go from where I was a few weeks ago to win today, it is a quick turn.

As late as last Tuesday, Ludvig Åberg was still bed -bound after the stomach ailment that hit him at the end of January.
– I couldn’t start hitting balls again until Wednesday, and go to the gym on Thursday, says the Swede.
– Last week I was more or less in survival mode. So coming here and winning is really special.
Ludwig’s turn
Initially, he also seemed to have noticed his problems and finished the first round at split place 25. But then Åberg played significantly and stood for a matchless pick -up – which went via a Hole in one in the third round, his first in tournament context.
“A really cool moment,” the Swede then said about his dream meeting.

First prize in the tour competition The Genesis Invitaio, as Tiger Woods Hosts, is $ 4 million – equivalent to around SEK 42 million. The title is Ludvig Åberg’s second on the PGA Tour.
Celebrate with burgers
The million winnings will be celebrated with a hamburger, in an attempt to recover the weight he lost in the suites of stomach illness.
-This is my last day on the west coast for a while, so I think I should take the chance to eat on in-n-out, he says and laughs.
Two, one blow behind Åberg, came the American Maverick McNealy. World set Scottie Scheffler were three strokes from the Swede and shared third place with another American, Patrick Rodgers.
With the victory, Ludvig Åberg climbs to first place on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup ranking and on the world ranking he lifts from sixth to fourth place.
