Anyone who will receive their declaration by post reminds the Swedish Tax Agency for an important detail. The declaration is sent to your population record address.
“You therefore need to be registered at the correct address by February 27, 2025,” the authority writes on its homepage.
Apart from the fact that, if you are not registered where you live, you will not receive your paper declaration, it is also illegal to be incorrectly registered.
“Anyone who consciously fails to make a relocation notification or reports incorrect or incomplete information to the Swedish Tax Agency makes a crime. A pure mistake is not a crime, but sometimes an investigation is needed by police or prosecutors to ascertain whether it is a public accounting offense or not” , the Swedish Tax Agency writes on its homepage.
