Rehabilitation of Syrian Cultural Treasures Get started Brief news

Palmyra’s historic city suffered in the hands of Isis terrorists.

Archeology experts have once again arrived in Syria and have begun to explore the state of the country’s historic cultural treasures. The sites suffer severely during the ISIS organization and the country’s civil war.

For example, before the unrest, Palmyra’s Roman city was the most significant tourist destination in Syria, with 150,000 tourists every month.

The Islamic extremist Isis determinedly destroyed the temples and graves of Palmyra.

Now, cultural organizations, such as UNESCO, are trying to start renovation and to open the destinations for tourists.

The current Syrian administration says he is waiting for the rise of official administration before the plan for the renovation of the sites is approved.
