Linn Svahn and Ebba Andersson have won in Falun

On Friday stood Linn Svahn at the top of the podium after she won the sprint in front of Nadine Fändrich and Kristine Stavås Skistad.

In an interview with News24 tells Svahn about the race:
– It was very tough conditions with long ride times, which led to them being the most sustainable ones that were at the top. So it was very positive for me that I got together such a good race anyway.
The World Cup is around the corner. Is this a distance you want to drive in Trondheim?
– Of course, it is a nice distance that I like, but it is not the distance that I prioritize most.
Svahn is also pleased with Andersson’s win:
– Really nice. It will be a competition that is about endurance and going fast for over 30 minutes. It was a tough track and tough conditions and she shows that she is most powerful today. We need that in the team.
“Tough in women’s skiing right now”
Ebba Andersson also looks at a World Cup, but at the same time sees the Norwegian ladies as a big threat.
How do you look at the competition from Norwegian?
– It is valuable to have challenges from the Norwegian, but also from an international point of view. It is tough in women’s skiing right now and I feel that it is much tougher now than it was during the first years when I entered the World Cup circus. It is important to be careful and prepare as well as you can and then also equally careful in implementation.
