The so -called Nytorgsman was sentenced by the High Court in 2022 to five years in prison for several rapes and several cases of sexual abuse, but was released conditionally in March last year.
Since November, he has been arrested on suspicion of yet another rape, against a young woman in Hörby municipality in Skåne.
He is now suspected of further crime.
– We should be clear that it is so far about suspicions. But with that said, it is not unexpected. The Prison and Probation Service was clear that it was a high-risk person you released when he was conditionally released, says SVT reporter Jimmy Kirvesmäki, who has made a documentary and wrote a book about the case.
– He had not undergone adequate rehabilitation when he was sitting at an institution, he had, among other things, jumped off because he was not sufficiently motivated, says Jimmy Kirvesmäki.
