Little brother: “Who is lying?” • Joakim Lundell will be in childhood in new documentary
In the new documentary series “Joakim – an abandoned child”, Joakim Lundell catches in his childhood, when he first confront his growing up history through the social services journals. He initially grew up with his mother until she met Joakim’s stepfather. As an eight -year -old, Joakim was moved from his family, placed in family homes and never had to come home again – without understanding why.
His mother and stepfather got several children together, and Joakim emphasizes that he and his siblings have not had the same upbringing.
– It is clear that everything I have been involved with has affected the relationship with my brothers in that they have not been involved in what I have been through. Me and my siblings have different views on our upbringing, says Joakim in the documentary.
Jakob Berg: “Then it became chaos”
Joakim’s brother Jakob Berg participates in the documentary to give his views on it. He remembers when Joakim released his autobiography “Monster” in 2017.
– Then it became chaos, my mother broke. Jocke was broken too, he was very angry. We lived in a small town, we lived in Vadstena where everyone knows everyone. When this book was released, she couldn’t even go outside the door, says Jacob.
– Had she walked in town and people knew what she looks like. What the hell had happened then? You don’t know, he continues.

According to Jakob, the book divided the family in a different way than before.
– I got a completely different picture of Jocke then. I got angry. Thinking how can you do such a thing? Can’t you take this privately with your mother? Jocke and I are not disgusted in that way, we just disagree with this with his soc-paper, his upbringing and my upbringing, he says.
Have different views of childhood
Jakob describes his childhood as safe, loving and fun – far from words that Joakim uses to describe his upbringing with.
– I don’t want these feelings in me all the time: who is lying? What is true? If my mother had now been as horrible as it is painted, how can I stay at home when I was an infant? Then it is strange that the social did nothing for us other children if it was as Jocke describes it, says Jacob.
Other family members on the part of the mother have been asked to participate and tell her story, but have chosen to relinquish. They dismiss all charges and believe that they do not recognize the criticism that Joakim directs at them.
