Overwatch is now almost 9 years old and has gone through a number of developments. The latest idea turns everything upside down: you learn new skills during a match. The change is already coming week.
So it is overwatch:
This is new now: With the upcoming Season 15, Blizzard introduces a perk system into the game. The system allows you to level twice per match and select one of two perks that can fundamentally change your playing style.
The first perk is always a “smaller”, the second a “big” perk. The small perks are only passive effects such as lower coales and serve, for example, to be able to play somewhat more aggressively or defensive. The big ones can completely change the play style of a hero. Blizzard delivered some examples:
Blizzard has not yet explained how exactly the levels work. You can soon look at the system yourself, Season 15 starts on the live servers on February 18.
In the showcase, Blizzard also shows some new skins in the Chinese style and cosmetics that you get for ranking games:

The most controversial meta of Overwatch history returns
Blizzard has also presented two other major changes: the return of loot boxes and the Goats meta. Lootboxes have disappeared with the release of Overwatch 2 and the community often came up with the desire to get them back.
With Season 15 you can earn regular loot boxes and legendary loot boxes in the Game Pass – here one in free path and two more in the paid. On the official website you can see the chances of the lootbox drops.
Blizzard has been experimenting with a Classic mode for some time. The first iteration showed players: Overwatch was not that great at the time and many changes today are really good.
The second, current version brought the “Motten-Meta” with Ana, Doomfist and Sombra. Blizzard is now planning to return the dreaded and hated Goats meta around Brigitte. This meta split the community at the time because it builds on three healers and three tanks as well as many ultimates and “Wombo-Combos”.
Also in Season 15 and following there are changes to the competitive mode, such as Map Votes, hero spells and a competitive 6V6 mode. The new heroine, Freja, appears with Season 16 and a new game mode with her. More information about the upcoming content will follow over the coming weeks. With Season 15, it is definitely worth a renewed or a first look into the game, because Overwatch is still one of the best shooters for newcomers and veterans.
