The last State of Play in February allowed PlayStation to unveil many upcoming games on PS5. If the evening has shone with its announcements, many fans remain disappointed.
After several weeks without significant ads concerning the PS5 games to come, Sony organized an online conference “State of Play” this Wednesday, February 12. The ideal opportunity for the firm to lift the veil on a multitude of titles to come in 2025 and 2026. If some are already known as “Metal Gear Δ Snake Eater”, others have been revealed for the very first time! The evening, however, leaves a rather bitter taste in the mouths of certain PlayStation fans who still await certain announcements.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds
Sonic fans like speed and Sega understood this. The publisher opened the evening by unveiling the next game in the Sonic series: Sonic Racing Crossworlds. Players will be able to find their favorite characters in a frenzied racing game. Available on PS4 and PS5 in 2025.
Monster Hunter Wilds
The next big title to come on PS5 distinguished itself again before its official release this February 28. Monster Hunter Wilds will allow players to track down and defeat gigantic solo monsters or cooperation. The trailer for the State of Play notably unveiled a new monster to come during a future update to come.
Woven
Returnal developers closed the State of Play with a very intriguing announcement: a brand new science fiction license. Called “Saros”, this new title unveiled its first images as well as its protagonist, Arjun is owed. A first preview of the gameplay of the game will be available in 2025.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword / Onimusha 2 Remaster
Fans of the Onimusha saga were thrilled during this state of play. Sony unveiled a new trailer for the next big title of the series called “Onimusha: Way of the Sword” to come in 2026 on PS5. The evening also allowed Capcom to announce a remaster of the second opus of the saga on PS4 and PS5. Released on May 23.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
The February State of Play announced the return of the Shinobi series. Find the atmosphere of the Master System through this new action game in upcoming 2D on PS4 and PS5 on August 29.
The Midnight Walk
The Moonhood studio returns with a new trailer for its horror game “The Midnight Walk”. Discover a title with very special graphics, heavy atmosphere and characters entirely made by hand in this a minute trailer. Coming to PS5 and PS VR 2 on May 8.
Tides of Annihilation
This new action and adventure game offered by the Eclipse Glow studio allows you to embody the young Gewndolyn. Endowed with supernatural powers, she will have to make her way through a multitude of formidable enemies and invoke powerful knights to achieve her ends. No release date communicated.
WWE 2K25
Catch lovers, the new trailer for the next WWE 2K25 was presented by Paul Heyman himself. The latter notably unveiled “The Island”, an online game mode which allows you to create your own character and evolve alongside 49 other players in a hub full of winks at WWE.
Warriors: Abyss
Little surprise of the evening, the Dynasty Warriors series is back with a brand new game. Baptized “Warriors: Abyss”, this title takes up the codes of the Roguelite genre with your favorite characters from the saga. Available today on PS5 and PS4.
Other smaller ads were made during the evening of the State of Play and you can find the whole evening on The official Youtube channel of PlayStation. The conference will have lasted a little more than 40 minutes and allowed to announce many future games as well as the return of major licenses such as Lies of P, Shinobi or Digimon.
However, the evening reactions remain rather mixed on social networks. The eternal absence of a remake or remaster of the Bloodborne game seems to come back to each conference of Sony.
