If it weren’t for the exploitative, war -stroying people – Pandora would be the most beautiful place in the whole universe. Nature and na’vis in harmony: It is not that simple as the latest insight into the third part of James Cameron’s sci-fi saga shows. Pandora also has its dark corners.
In Avatar: Fire and Ash we learn that Mangkwan clan know, which is also known as an Ash clan and is led by the fearless Varang (oona chaplin). Due to her actions and decisions, Varang has already been described as a controversial figure in the Avatar cosmos. The reason: she saw her people suffering.
Avatar 3: New picture shows the home of the Mangkwan clan
But what happened to Mangkwans? The British film magazine Empire shared new information, including a concept drawing that shows us the clan’s home – and it does not look as fantastic as we are used to from Pandora. Instead, a hopeless picture of the destruction is revealed to us.
At this point you will find an external content of Twitterthat adds the article. You can have it displayed with one click and hide it again.
What happened here? Have people attacked this place and burned down? In fact, the invaders from Earth were not to blame for the suffering of a Na’vi tribe. Production designer Dylan Cole reveals the following:
[Der Mangkwan] became haunted by a natural disasterand that shaped her culture. Much in the world of Pandora is rich and pulsating and full of life – this is the opposite.
The Mangkwan originally lived in a huge tree as well as the grandmother. As the concept drawing shows, there is not much left of it. Only a fuselage from the drought protrudes from the large tree – we have never seen such a complaining landscape on the otherwise dreamy planet.
In addition, the picture raises the question of whether Avatar: Fire and Ash shows us what exactly happened. A flashback would be conceivable that takes us into the past, although the Avatar films have so far been unable to get such narrative tricks. Perhaps Varang itself also describes the catastrophe that has destroyed her home.
Cinema start: When does Avatar 3 come out?
We learn more about Varang, the Mangkwan and its destroyed homeland at the latest on December 17, 2025when Avatar: Fire and Ash starts in German cinemas. Perhaps the trailer shows us a few of the moving pictures from the final film, which were created on the basis of the above concept drawing.
