Markus LindbladExpert at Happy, says that nicotine is available in several common foods.
– Nicotine is found naturally in fruits, vegetables and other foods that we eat daily. However, the levels are extremely small, so there is no way to become dependent on them. As you consume these foods, the small concentrations of nicotine pass through the intestines and the body melts easily. In comparison, nicotine products have larger amounts of nicotine absorbed in the bloodstream, says Lindblad according to a press release from Haypp.
When levels of nicotine are measured in foods, micrograms are used as a benchmark.
– One million micrograms correspond to a gram, which means that the levels are minimal. However, it is good for people to have an understanding of what nicotine is and where it can be. Perhaps especially interesting for users of nicotine portions and e-cigarettes, says Lindblad.
