Judgment against IS-woman charged for genocide

Today, the verdict against 52-year-old Lina Ishaq, who are charged with genocide, crimes against humanity and serious war crime in Raqqa, Syria, between 2014 and 2016 is announced.

The woman is accused of holding nine Yazid women and children captured under slave -like conditions in her home in Raqqa.

The verdict is unique as it is the first time the Islamic State’s violation of the Yazid minority is being tested in Sweden.

The woman has previously been imprisoned for taking her then twelve -year -old son to Syria and let him become a child soldier in ice.

The judgment is announced at 11 o’clock in Stockholm District Court.
