Richard Jomshof (SD) resigns as chairman of the Justice Committee

The time parties have agreed to limit military -like, semi -automatic weapons after the deed in Örebro. The proposal has faced strong internal criticism in primarily SD.

“Today, we have had a long and factual debate and discussion on the issue at our party board meeting, where we have all had the opportunity to express our respective opinions. During that discussion, I announced that, on the occasion of the criticism, but also because I am not willing to pilot a revised proposal in the Justice Committee, have made the decision to resign as chairman of the Justice Committee, ”Jomshof himself writes on X after The meeting.

Last fall, Jomshof temporarily left Posten as chairman of the Justice Committee in connection with his suspicion of incitement against people group for sharing satirical drawings. Jomshof then returned when the suspicions were closed down.
