The European Parliament honors the victims of the school shooting in Örebro with a silent minute.

President Roberta Metsola took up the Örebro act as one of the first points when this week’s sitting in Strasbourg began at 17.

– Last Tuesday, we were horrified by hearing about the terrible mass shooting at the Risbergska school in Örebro. Europe grows with those who have been lost. Hatred and violence have no place in Europe, Metsola said before the members stood up in silence.

During the evening, an extra debate about the mass murder is also held, with a speaker from each party group in the European Parliament.

Later in the evening, the members will also debate the increasing gang violence in Sweden.
