“Continued for three and a half hours” • is linked to several brutal acts of violence
Children and young people are drawn into closed chats, controlled by a movement that calls itself “764” or “No Lives Matter”. The method is threats and blackmail to force the victims to perform any more serious abuse, themselves or others – often filmed or photographed.
The parents of a 13-year-old boy in northern Sweden tell how their son was attracted with the promise about new friends-but everything ended in several hours terror in a live stream on the discord platform.
– They continued for three and a half hours. He would cut himself in his arms and legs while threatening to spread pictures of him. In the end, they urged him to take his life, says the parents.
In Borås, a 14-year-old is investigated for a knife attack against a 55-year-old woman, whom he must have filmed and posted in the same types of chats.
14-year-old stabbed 80-year-old
In Hässelby, a 14-year-old boy was arrested after a knife-cutting by an 80-year-old man he filmed and spread in the 764 forum.
– My grandfather’s lung was punctured. He is still very hurt where he got carved, says the man’s grandson Viktor.
The movement is based on an idea world of Satanism, Nazism and Nihilism and has strong links to child porn. The purpose is to create chaos with evil in a society that it considers to be in disrepair.
– It’s about abuse, knife cuts and even murder. It is based on a strong feeling that everything is dark and horrible in the world we live in today, says Erik Glaad, reporter at Expo.
Difficult to stop propaganda
He has studied the movement from within their own forum. He has seen how to get children to commit abuse and document it to post in the 764 forum – and in this way be able to rise in status in the movement.
– Society is too bad at attending the web and counteracting the propaganda that attracts young people. There is so much to do here, says Erik Glaad.
The parents of the 13-year-old want others to realize how quickly abuse can begin:
– Our son has a great time. He is unable to go to school and has been diagnosed with PTDS. This happens and it is for real.
This is the group 764
764 was founded in 2020 by the then 16-year-old Bradley Cadenhead from Texas, USA, who named the group after the figures in its postal code. Cadenhead, who now serves 80 years in prison for child pornography offenses, created an online platform in which members were invited to film and share brutal acts of violence and abuse of children.
The movement spreads through gaming sites such as Minecraft and Roblox where members recruit vulnerable young people to platforms such as discord and telegram. The group’s signature is so -called “cut signs” where victims are forced to cut the perpetrator’s alias in their skin, as well as filming unprovoked violence attacks against random victims.
During 2024-2025, several Swedish cases were linked to 764, including knife attacks in Hässelby and Borås made by 14-year-olds. Although the parent company Discord reports that they have closed down over 34,000 accounts linked to the group, the movement continues to grow through new aliases and cryptochans.
